Sign inAny individual who is registered as a Mutual Fund Dealing Representative (this includes Licensed Assistants and Branch Managers/Alternate Branch Managers) must comply with continuing education requirements.
Representatives who are registered in Quebec and in another province need to comply with both the CSF and CIRO's requirements. As requirements may vary according to your province(s) of registration, please refer to Chapter 2 of our Compliance Policies and Procedures Manual (CPPM).
Accredited training activities are available on Investia Learning (click here to learn how to search for content by specific category). You may, however, need to combine them with activities from third-party providers to earn all your CE credits.
As a general rule, fund companies offer continuing education activities on their website.
CIRO registered individuals

CIRO registered individuals
Investia reports your participation in its activities to CIRO on a monthly basis. The time required to update the CERTS platform varies according to their internal processing.
You are responsible for entering your training activities with a third-party provider on CERTS. If you have any questions relating to a declaration on this platform, please contact CIRO directly.
CSF registered individuals (Quebec only)
You are responsible for entering your training activities via the Members' Area.
Investia will have the eligible content it produces accredited. Once the accreditation process is completed, certificates can be obtained through one of the following options:
If you have completed a training activity with a third-party supplier, you must contact them directly.
CIRO registered individuals
A maximum of 5 Professional Development (PD) credits can be carried forward to the next cycle.
CSF registered individuals (Quebec only)
A representative can carry over up to 5 extra PDUs to the next reference period if the PDUs were accumulated in the last three months of a reference period, between September 1 and November 30 of an odd year. Carrying over extra PDUs must be done by the representative by logging in to their secure PDU record, through the Members’ Area.
Failure to comply with continuing education requirements may result in a request for suspension of your license by the self-regulatory organizations (SRO) and additional disciplinary actions, until the required credits are obtained.
